Back when ‘orphan’ and ‘widow’ were just indicators of familial status to me, I began my professional career in Digital & Marketing at the Tory Burch Foundation. Despite no prior design education or experience, my instincts (aided by Google and YouTube tutorials) proved efficient enough when a graphic designer was needed.

I taught myself the basics of Photoshop and InDesign (naively creating logos and motion graphics in Photoshop…) and went on to design both digital and print materials for Tory Burch and the Foundation. This experience cemented my love for visual communication and was the starting point on my path as a designer. So, here is some of my design work from before I was a designer.

#EmbraceAmbition

Embrace Ambition Campaign

Ambition is not a dirty word. Working closely with both the Tory Burch Foundation President and Director of Digital & Marketing I designed and produced this digital outdoor advertising campaign for #EmbraceAmbition. The campaign features real women from around the world who have participated in the #EmbraceAmbition movement.

The OOH campaign was featured on two Times Square billboards, the Nasdaq Tower, and in numerous digital screen locations in 25+ cities across the United States. Social media ads featuring the Embrace Ambition art ran on Instagram and gained over 6.1M impressions. Digital ads also ran on Refinery29.com and Vogue.com, including an International Women’s Day run-of-site and homepage takeover on Vogue.com.
